Xiaomi, a renowned Chinese smartphone company, is now venturing into the field of cars. Today, December 28, 2023, Xiaomi fully prepares to unveil its electric vehicle Xiaomi SU7, releasing an official teaser on the X website.
The car, named Xiaomi SU7, is an electric sedan, marking Xiaomi’s entry into the passenger car segment.It will come with the hyper OS operating system. As shown in the poster, the car has a striking appearance in aqua blue color, resembling the luxurious look of high-end cars.

Regarding specifications, the company has not provided any official information yet. The poster shared on social media reveals the MI logo on the front bonnet and the presence of the MI logo between the alloy wheels. The car’s design seems to have some resemblance to Tesla, especially in the side mirrors and back design. The most significant aspect is that it is an electric vehicle.
Xiaomi’s CEO, Lei Jun, has previously announced a focus on intelligent technology, and the car system seems to be influenced by Tesla Model S. He further share a tweet as below
“Cars have been around for over 130 years. For the first 100 years, they were primarily used for transportation. Porsche is a perfect example. In the new century, Tesla redefined the car into a mobile computer on wheels, ushering in the era of smart EVs. I believe the mission of automotive industry today is to create mobile smart spaces. That’s where Xiaomi EV comes in.
Xiaomi has clarified that the car will first launch outside of China. The initial launch will focus on showcasing the car’s technology, and it will not be available for purchase immediately. However, in the coming months, the car will become available to the public. The launch event is all set for 2:00 pm Beijing time and 11:30 am IST, lasting for three hours. As mentioned earlier, specific details about the car’s specifications and pricing are yet to be disclosed.
